Jess Hilarious Getting the Boot from The Breakfast Club

It’s been a tough week for Jess Hilarious, but if you’ve been paying attention, it’s been a tougher year for the Breakfast Club audience—because we’ve been forced to sit through her checked-out, uninterested, Instagram-scrolling era while Lauren LoRosa quietly snatched her seat right from under her.
Yesterday, Jess took to Instagram Live to finally acknowledge what fans, critics, and anyone with eyes and ears had already suspected: her days at The Breakfast Club are numbered. But instead of bowing out gracefully, she’s choosing to go down swinging (or at least passive-aggressively complaining), airing out company business, and conveniently leaving out why she’s in this position to begin with.
So let’s break this mess down, shall we?
Jess vs. Lauren LoRosa: The Battle for the Third Seat
According to Jess’s IG rant, her biggest frustration is that Lauren LoRosa was originally supposed to be just a fill-in while she was on maternity leave, but upon her return, Lauren was still there, and not just lingering—she was thriving.
Jess blames management for keeping Lauren around without her approval, but let’s call it what it really is: Jess got outworked, outperformed, and outclassed on the job.
When Jess came back, she clearly expected Lauren to pack her things and leave, but instead, management kept her around—and why wouldn’t they? Lauren was well-prepared, better researched, and didn’t fumble through news segments like she was hooked on phonics.
Let’s not forget the now-infamous "Jess With the Mess" segment, where Jess slowly morphed into just a background commentator while Lauren basically took over. Jess tried to manipulate fans into believing she “suggested” Lauren take the segment, but anyone who watched could see the truth: Lauren was doing the heavy lifting because Jess could barely read the material she was given.
At this point, Jess knew she was fighting a losing battle, and instead of stepping up her game, she did what all checked-out employees do:
Started giving Lauren the “mean girl” treatment on-air
Pretended to be too cool to care about what was happening
Started scrolling IG Live ON AIR while sitting across from actual industry legends like Wendy Williams
Took on Comedy gigs instead of coming to work
And somehow, she’s confused as to why she’s getting phased out?
Entitlement is a Hell of a Drug
One of the most hilarious (pun intended) parts of this entire situation is Jess’s delusional entitlement.
She talks as if she BUILT The Breakfast Club from the ground up—as if she wasn’t just a replacement for Angela Yee, a woman who put in 13 YEARS of work before she moved on.
Jess had the nerve to say she doesn’t know how Angela Yee did the job for 13 years. I’ll tell you how:
She actually cared about the platform
She actually did research
She actually had viral moments
Meanwhile, Jess got pregnant on purpose (her words, not mine), took maternity leave, came back, and acted SHOCKED when someone more competent filled her shoes.
Now, she’s throwing a fit, saying she doesn’t need The Breakfast Club.
Okay, fam. So what do you have?
No Netflix specials
No stand-up tour dates
No major comedy series
No solo podcast
No visible next move
At this point, Jess is only known for making Instagram skits and being Charlemagne’s charity hire, and yet she’s moving like she’s Angela Yee 2.0 when in reality, she’s closer to DJ Envy’s real estate investments—quiet and barely talked about.
The Fans Turned on Jess, and She Can’t Handle It
Jess Hilarious is learning the hard way that the internet is undefeated.
Her social media rant have done nothing but validate what everyone was already saying:
She’s been mentally checked out for months
She’s mad that Lauren is outperforming her
She got too comfortable and is now lashing out because she’s getting benched
Even her recent Drake album flip-flop proves she’s a reactionary mess.
Let’s not forget: She TRASHED Drake’s latest album without even listening to it. Then, after actually listening to is she somehow changed her mind...shocker, she came back and suddenly had glowing reviews—proving she just says whatever sounds good at the moment.
Now, she’s doing the same thing with The Breakfast Club—pretending like she’s been done wrong when the reality is, she fumbled the bag all on her own.
Final Thoughts: Jess, This is a You Problem
Jess is airing out the business, talking about how she used to love being at The Breakfast Club but doesn’t anymore.
Jess… we can see it on your face.
You’ve checked out.
You’re bitter.
You’re coasting.
And now you’re mad because someone who actually cares about the job is outperforming you.
You got complacent, and now you’re losing your seat.
Lauren LoRosa didn’t steal your job. She just did it better.
And instead of looking in the mirror and owning that, you’re throwing a tantrum and trying to play the victim.
But hey, good luck with whatever comes next. Because at this point, The Breakfast Club will be just fine without you.
