TDE Under Fire: Lawsuit Alleges Sexual Harassment, Assault, and Industry Exploitation

In a stunning turn of events, Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE)—the powerhouse label behind some of hip-hop’s biggest stars—has become embroiled in a legal battle that could shake the industry to its core. A Verified First Amended Complaint filed in the Superior Court of Los Angeles details disturbing allegations against the label, including sexual harassment, battery, assault, negligence, breach of contract, and doxxing.
The lawsuit, brought forth by Linda Luna and Ayah Altayri, alleges a toxic and exploitative culture within TDE, implicating high-ranking executives such as Brandon Tiffith (Chief Marketing Officer), Anthony Tiffith Jr. (President, aka "Moosa"), and David Harrell (also known as "H-Wood" or "Hollywood").
Key Allegations in the Lawsuit
The lawsuit outlines several years of misconduct, including financial exploitation, sexual coercion, and retaliation against women in the industry who dared to challenge the label’s power structure.
1. Sexual Harassment and Assault Allegations
The most explosive claims involve Linda Luna, a PR and branding professional who worked with TDE from 2019 to early 2024, and Ayah Altayri, a woman who lived in a TDE-provided residence between 2020 and 2021.
Brandon Tiffith allegedly made unwanted sexual advances toward Luna, sending explicit messages and images, and ultimately attempting to force himself on her while she was under the influence of alcohol and second-hand marijuana smoke. The lawsuit describes a harrowing moment when Luna faked illness to escape.
Anthony Tiffith Jr., the label’s president, also allegedly engaged in inappropriate behavior, including making persistent sexual comments, sending pornographic content, and attempting to use Luna’s home as a location for his own sexual encounters.
David Harrell ("H-Wood") is accused of physically assaulting Altayri, attempting to forcibly undress her, and sexually assaulting her after coercing her into drinking alcohol. Altayri claims she had to physically escape his apartment and later suspected she had been drugged.
2. Unpaid Labor and Financial Exploitation
The lawsuit also sheds light on a pattern of financial exploitation, particularly targeting women in the industry.
Luna alleges she worked unpaid for years, handling PR, branding, and media relations for multiple TDE artists, including Reason and Kembe, and even helped with TDE’s Christmas concert in 2019.
Despite repeated invoices and requests for payment, Tiffith Jr. allegedly refused to pay her in full, often offering partial payments or making demeaning demands before considering compensation.
At one point, Tiffith Jr. admitted to Luna that he had no money to pay her, yet continued pressuring her to work, eventually offering a co-management position with an artist as a substitute for financial compensation.
3. Retaliation and Industry Blacklisting
The lawsuit details how TDE retaliated against Luna and Altayri after they spoke out about the mistreatment.
Doxxing Allegations: After filing the lawsuit, Luna and Altayri initially used pseudonyms to protect their identities. However, TDE allegedly leaked their names to the media, leading to an onslaught of online harassment.
Hate Messages and Threats: Luna reported receiving messages such as:“I hope you get raped and killed.”
“Lying ugly weird ass bitch… I hope your dog dies, you lying stupid mutt.”
“You are ugly as hell… nobody sexually harassed you.”
The harassment also led to professional consequences, with two of Luna’s clients terminating their contracts due to the negative attention.
4. TDE’s Culture of Silence and Cover-Ups
Perhaps most damning is the claim that TDE executives knew about multiple incidents of sexual misconduct but did nothing to stop them.
The lawsuit alleges that several TDE artists and employees engaged in predatory behavior, including:B-Dawg, a known associate of TDE, who allegedly groped Altayri without consent on multiple occasions.
"Artist I", a TDE-affiliated musician, who allegedly tried to break into another female artist’s room and sent unsolicited explicit content.
"Artist S", who reportedly busted into a woman’s room while she was sleeping.
Despite being informed of these incidents, TDE’s leadership reportedly failed to act, enabling a culture of unchecked predatory behavior.
The Bigger Picture: A Reckoning for the Music Industry?
The TDE lawsuit is part of a larger industry-wide conversation about power dynamics, exploitation, and accountability in the music business. The allegations mirror past scandals involving other major record labels, raising concerns about how women in the industry are treated behind closed doors.
For years, TDE has been hailed as a revolutionary label, home to some of hip-hop’s most celebrated artists. However, these revelations paint a far darker picture—one of abuse, financial exploitation, and retaliation against women who refuse to stay silent.
The lawsuit demands punitive damages, financial compensation, and industry-wide accountability. If these allegations are proven true, it could lead to major changes in how record labels handle misconduct, enforce workplace protections, and support victims who speak out.
What Happens Next?
TDE has yet to issue a formal legal response to the amended lawsuit.
If the case moves forward, a jury trial is expected, potentially bringing more evidence and testimonies to light.
The industry is watching closely—will this case set a precedent for better protections, or will it be buried like so many before?
One thing is certain: hip-hop’s biggest label is facing its biggest crisis yet.
Final Thoughts
The lawsuit against TDE is more than just a legal battle—it’s a critical moment for accountability in the music industry. As more details emerge, it will be essential for fans, media, and industry professionals to demand transparency, justice, and change.
Stay tuned for further developments.
